On June 1, 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Wonsan Baby Home and Wonsan Orphanage again just before their inauguration.
Looking at the portraits bearing the beaming images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il hanging on the façades of the new buildings, he said that the portraits looked bright and respectable. He said that the orphans would move into their new homes amid the blessings from the great leaders.
While being shown around the new buildings, he gave some advice on what needed to be done to take better care of the orphans and improve their education.
He said: The Wonsan Baby Home and Wonsan Orphanage are proud creations that visually and eloquently show the advantages of socialism of our style. This is an addition to the assets for the good of orphans in our country. Ours is the only country in the world where the Party and the state take full responsibility for raising orphans. The baby home and orphanage clearly prove the advantages of socialism of our style, which capitalism can neither imitate nor take.
Before taking his leave, he said: Today is International Children’s Day. The baby home and orphanage should be inaugurated quickly so that the children can move into their new homes. It should be arranged that the children cut the ribbon at the inauguration ceremony. Then they will not forget this meaningful day even when they have grown up.
