The newly-built Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm has harvested vegetables for the first time this year.
Cherishing a pride in living and working at an ideal farm town with a group of largest-ever greenhouses which made another leap forward in modernity, advanced nature and profitability as well as the architectural level, its officials and employees, with a determination to bring about a rich harvest, cultivated healthy vegetable sprouts while ensuring the control of temperature and humidity and the nutrient care as required by technical regulations according to the growing conditions of vegetable crops.
The employees were full of a delight in harvesting various species of vegetables like tomato, pepper, cucumber and bok choy at different types of greenhouses, presenting another spectacular scene on the “treasure island”.
The Sinuiju Vegetable Science Research Centre, too, has produced various species of fruit, leaf and other functional vegetables.
The employees of the farm transplanted healthy vegetable sprouts in the greenhouses and cultivated them in a scientific and technological way while steadily improving the level of technical knowledge and skills in contact with technicians and researchers of relevant units. As a result, they could reap a good harvest of vegetables.
Sinuiju citizens were filled with a great delight, saying that they could taste various species of vegetables though the farm was inaugurated recently.
