The Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy for rural construction unfolded a new scene of a modern socialist village at the Unsong Farm in Jonchon County, Jagang Province.
True to the WPK’s intention to step up the construction of an ideal society with warm love for the people, officials and builders of Jonchon County built cosy dwelling houses and communal livestock sheds and created a peculiar landscaping in the gardens of houses and around the village.
A ceremony of moving into new houses took place on the spot. Present there were officials of Jagang Province and Jonchon County, builders and agricultural workers to be provided with new houses.
Sin Chang Gil, chairman of the provincial people’s committee, delivered a congratulatory address, and house licenses were handed over and speeches were made.
When moving into their new houses began, there was a cheerful dancing party in the village. Sincere voices extending thanks to the great Party Central Committee rang out from the houses.
The county mobile artistic motivation team gave a congratulatory performance. Amid joyful laughter and singing, officials visited the farmers’ new houses to exchange their impressions. They encouraged the owners to successfully conclude this significant year’s farming so as to greet the Ninth Congress of the WPK as the glorious one of victors.
